DELCHAR=
roll-delete-separator
specifies the character NonStop NET/MASTER MS uses to construct the delimiter
line that separates new and old roll-delete messages as they roll from the top to
the bottom of the roll-delete message display area. The default character used to
construct the line is the underscore (_).
You can use any displayable character, excluding a blank, to construct the line.
You may find it useful to use a different delimiter character in each OCS window.
This can help to distinguish the output in the different windows when you have
split the screen.
You cannot use this operand to profile a dependent processing environment.
EMS
specifies whether you can receive Tandem Event Management Service (EMS)
messages and IBM Primary Program Operator (PPO) messages. You can change
the value of this operand only if your user ID definition record authorizes you to
receive EMS and PPO messages: this is defined in the Receive EMS Messages field
in User ID Management Services (UMS).
Note If a user is not authorized to receive EMS and PPO messages, the PROFILE command does not display
information about the EMS operand.
An NCL process can attempt to check the EMS and PPO message receipt status of a user by using the
INTCMD PROFILE statement and waiting for message NNM0378. If the user is not authorized to receive
EMS and PPO messages, message NNM0378 does not arrive and the NCL process may be suspended
indefinitely. (You can work around this by using the SECCALL GET verb to obtain the actual EMS and
PPO message receipt status of the user.)
YES
instructs NonStop NET/MASTER MS to send you EMS and PPO messages. If
specified, you can then select the severity level of the messages you want to
receive by specifying (in order of severity) INFO, WARN, NORM, and SER.
You receive all messages of the selected, or higher, level. If you are authorized
to receive EMS messages, EMS=YES is the default when you enter OCS.
Regardless of the severity level you select, any messages classified as ones that
cannot be suppressed by NonStop NET/MASTER MS are still displayed.
Note PPO messages always have a severity level attribute of INFO, WARN, NORM, or SER. When an EMS
message first enters NonStop NET/MASTER MS, if it has an emphasis token value of TRUE
(ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS is TRUE), NonStop NET/MASTER MS considers that it has a severity level of
SER; otherwise, a severity level of NORM. You can explicitly alter the severity level of a PPO or EMS
message after it first enters NonStop NET/MASTER MS by assigning it a different value in the MDO
variable &$EMS.MSGATTR.SEVERITY in EMSPROC.
