NonStop NET/MASTER MS Commands
2–290 115412 Tandem Computers Incorporated
If a PROGRUN command issued to a local or remote system is unsuccessful,
NonStop NET/MASTER issues an error message. Refer to the NonStop
NET/MASTER MS Messages Manual for more information on error messages.
NonStop NET/MASTER MS cannot view exchanges with the process, such as
commands sent to the process and the responses to those commands.
Every NonStop NET/MASTER MS user executes in a Guardian process. When a
user starts a Guardian utility by using the PROGRUN command, the Guardian
process that is created inherits the creator accessor ID and the process accessor ID
of the Guardian process from which the user executes the command.
Permission to run a utility (on either a local or remote system) using the
PROGRUN command is determined by the GUID of the user issuing the
command. For a remote PROGRUN command to be successful, the GUID of the
user issuing the command must be such that the Safeguard setting on the remote
system, in addition to the security defined within the utility, allows the user to run
that utility.
Refer to the NonStop NET/MASTER MS System Management Guide for more
information on using the INIT NCL procedure to install, configure, and remove
Format 1 of the PROGRUN command.
For related information, see the OPSYS, PARAM UACAUTH, PARAM UACUTIL,
PARAM UADAUTH, and PARAM UADUTIL commands.
