NonStop NET/MASTER MS Commands
115412 Tandem Computers Incorporated 2–421
SIGNON The SIGNON command updates the NonStop NET/MASTER MS security profile of a
user. If any changes have been made to your user ID definition record (on your local
system) while you have been logged on (for example, to your authority level, NCL
user procedure library, or available Guardian user IDs), you can use this command to
automatically implement them. You do not have to log off from NonStop
NET/MASTER MS and log on again to implement the changes.
SIGNON
Note This command is an entirely different command from the SIGNON link-name command used to log on to
a remote NonStop NET/MASTER MS or SOLVE management services system.
Considerations
The default authority level of this command is 0.
You can enter this command from any NCL procedure, except the INIT NCL
procedure, by using either the CMD core statement or the INTCMD verb.
This command does not affect your user ID definition(s) on any remote system(s)
to which you are currently logged on (unless you use the ROUTE command to
explicitly route the command to the remote system).
If you submit a SIGNON command to a virtual user, such as the Background
Monitor or the Background Logger, it refreshes the NonStop NET/MASTER MS
security profile of the virtual user.
If you change any aspects of your own execution environment using the PROFILE
command (except the value associated with the INITCMD or MSGPROC
operands), you can reobtain the original settings by using the SIGNON command.
For related information, see the PROFILE command.
