NonStop NET/MASTER MS Commands

link-name
specifies the name of the link to the system to which to log on. The link name is
defined in the LINK DEFINE command. The link name can be from 1 through 12
characters long and can include any displayable characters. Alphabetic characters
are not case-sensitive.
{ BKGCOLOR | BKGCOLOUR }=
background-color-option
specifies the background color on which to display messages from the link. The
BKGCOLOR operand of the LINK DEFINE command establishes the default
background color (including no color) for messages originating from a link.
If you do not specify a different background color using the BKGCOLOR operand
of the SIGNON link-name command, uncolored backgrounds have the color
defined in the BKGCOLOR operand of the LINK DEFINE command and colored
backgrounds retain their current color. If you do specify a different color using
the BKGCOLOR operand of the SIGNON link-name command, all messages from
the remote system are displayed on the different color.
{ COLOR | COLOUR }=
color-option
specifies the color in which to display messages from the link. The COLOR
operand of the LINK DEFINE command establishes the default color (including no
color) for messages originating from a link.
If you do not specify a different color using the COLOR operand of the SIGNON
link-name command, uncolored messages have the color defined in the COLOR
operand of the LINK DEFINE command and colored messages retain their current
color. If you do specify a different color using the COLOR operand of the
SIGNON link-name command, all messages from the remote system are displayed
in the different color.
Note After setting a new color using the COLOR operand of the SIGNON link-name command, you must log off
from and log on again to the remote system to revert to the situation where messages maintain their own
color.
{ HLITE | HLIGHT }=
hlite-option
specifies the highlighting in which to display messages from the link. This
overrides any highlighting options specified in the LINK DEFINE command.
ID=
msg-id
specifies a message ID by which to prefix messages from the link. The identifier
can be from one through eight characters long and can include any displayable
characters. Alphabetic characters are not case-sensitive. This overrides the
message ID specified by the MSGID operand in the LINK DEFINE command.
