system-id
specifies the system identifier by which to identify a NonStop NET/MASTER MS
system.
You can specify a system identifier from 1 through 12 characters long. It is
recommended that you use only alphanumeric characters when you specify a
system identifier.
If you do not specify a system identifier, the default system identifier is the
Expand system name without the leading back slash (\) or ANONYMOUS if the
system is unnamed.
Considerations
You can set this system parameter only during execution of the INIT NCL
procedure (before users are permitted to log on to the system).
The system identifier is required for NonStop NET/MASTER MS to communicate
with the SOLVE management services using Inter-NET/MASTER Connection
(INMC). The system ID must be unique in a network of NonStop NET/MASTER
MS or SOLVE management services systems. (The system identifier is the
functional equivalent of the application name assigned to SOLVE management
services—using the APPLNAME parameter—in a VTAM environment.)
