This section describes NonStop NET/MASTER Management Services (MS)
commands. Figure 2-1 shows how each command is described.

COMMAND The COMMAND is briefly described in this introductory paragraph. If applicable,
there may be some tips on how to use the command. If relevant, the command may be
contrasted with other commands. A brief description of each NonStop NET/MASTER
MS command also appears in Table 1-1.
This syntax box shows the complete syntax of the command and
its operands (if it has any) in a display similar to the
following:
COMMAND [ OPERAND ] …
Boldface characters indicate the minimum number of characters
you can enter to execute a command or operand.
The Notation Conventions at the beginning of this manual
describes the meaning of the elements in this syntax box.
Note Any special notes, cautions, or warnings are listed here or where most appropriate.
OPERAND
Each OPERAND is briefly described. If appropriate, the description includes its
default value, the range of values you can enter, minimum length, maximum
length, and so on.
Considerations
The first consideration lists the default authority level of the command and its
operands (if it has any). If the operand of a command is not listed here, its default
command authority level is 0. Guidelines for assigning default levels are
summarized in Table 1-2. Default authority levels are summarized in Table 1-3.
The second consideration lists command entry restrictions from an NCL
procedure by using the CMD core statement and the INTCMD verb, and any
other considerations with regard to NCL. Command entry restrictions from NCL
are summarized in Table 1-4.
