TERMINAL ADD
NonStop NET/MASTER MS Commands
115412 Tandem Computers Incorporated 2–549
You can specify an asterisk (*) as the last character of a device name. In this
context, the asterisk is a wild card.
Note If the device name you specify is syntactically incorrect, but still begins with a backslash (\) or a dollar sign
($), then the TERMINAL ADD command may still accept the definition. If it does, the error is not detected
until the OPENTERM command attempts to open the terminal.
{ COLOR | COLOUR }
specifies whether color data streams are sent to the terminal. Whether the
terminal displays color depends on the terminal type.
YES
specifies that color data streams are to be sent to the terminal. If you specify
an IBM 3270 or compatible terminal, then extended color data streams are
sent.
Note If the terminal you are defining does not support color and you specify COLOR=YES, unpredictable
results may occur when the terminal is opened.
NO
specifies that color data streams are not to be sent to the terminal. If you
specify COLOR=NO, then HLITE=NO is assumed unless you explicitly specify
HLITE=YES.
TERMCONF
instructs NonStop NET/MASTER MS to query the terminal configuration and
to use the color capability specified there.
{ HLITE | HLIGHT }
specifies whether highlighting data streams are sent to the terminal. Whether the
terminal displays highlighting depends on the terminal type.
YES
specifies that highlighting data streams are to be sent to the terminal. If you
specify an IBM 3270 or compatible terminal, then extended highlighting data
streams are sent.
Note If the terminal you are defining does not support highlighting and you specify HLITE=YES,
unpredictable results may occur when the terminal is opened.
