If you also specify the ROUTE operand and the user specified in the ROUTE
operand is not logged on when execution is attempted, the command executes
under the control of the environment you specify with the KEEP operand.
If you do not specify this operand and the environment from which the timer
command is issued does not exist when NonStop NET/MASTER MS attempts to
execute the command, then the command is not executed and is deleted from the
timer queue.
MON
executes the command under the control of the Background Monitor. The
results of the command are directed to the activity log and are displayed at
the terminals of all monitor-class users.
LOG
executes the command under the control of the Background Logger. The
results of the command are directed to the activity log but are not sent to any
terminals.
LIMIT
limits the number of days the command, message, or series of commands is to
execute. This allows a timer command to execute periodically (every 24 hours) for
a specified number of days.
execution-limit
specifies an execution limit. The timer command executes the number of days
you specify. You can specify a value from 0 through 999. By default, the
execution limit is 1: the timer command executes once only (on a single day).
NO
specifies that there is no execution limit. This is equivalent to specifying a
limit of 0: the timer command executes every day at the specified time.
PMSG
specifies whether a purge message is sent when the command is automatically
purged from the timer queue.
YES
specifies that a purge message is to be sent to the user ID or environment that
controls the execution of the command when the command is automatically
purged from the timer queue. Execution control is specified by the values of
the ENV, KEEP, and ROUTE operands.
If you do not specify the ENV, KEEP, or ROUTE operand when the timer
command is purged, a purge message is sent either to your OCS window or to
the activity log.
