If you specify ENV=PRI or ENV=CUR, when the timer command is purged the
message is sent to either your OCS window or your current execution
environment, respectively.
If you specify KEEP=MON or KEEP=LOG and you are not logged on when the
timer command is purged, the message is sent to the Background Monitor or
the Background Logger, respectively.
If you specify ROUTE=MON or ROUTE=LOG and you are logged on when the
timer command is purged, the message is sent to one of your OCS windows.
If you specify ROUTE=
user-id
and the target user ID is logged on when the
timer command is purged the message is sent to the user ID.
NO
specifies that no purge message is to be sent when the command is
automatically purged from the timer queue.
ROUTE
sends the command for execution under the control of a (target) real user or
virtual user.
This operand suppresses the automatic deletion of the command that occurs when
a certain user is not logged on. If a user is not logged on when execution is
attempted, the command is not executed but is retained for execution at the same
time on the following day.
If the user specified in the ROUTE operand is not logged on when execution is
attempted and the KEEP operand is also specified, the command executes under
the control of the environment you specify with the KEEP operand.
user-id
specifies the user ID of the real user under whose control the command
executes.
You can specify your own user ID in the ROUTE operand. This technique
ensures that the command is not automatically deleted when you are not
logged on and is only executed when you are logged on.
*
specifies that the command executes under the user ID of the user issuing the
command.
MON
specifies that the command executes under the control of the Background
Monitor. The results of the command are directed to the activity log and are
displayed at the terminals of all monitor-class users.
