PASSIVE
specifies the passive unit in an X.25 link and specifies that the unit is a
switched virtual circuit. The corresponding unit to a passive unit must be
active.
The passive unit is responsible for waiting for a call from its corresponding
active unit.
PERMANENT
specifies a permanent virtual circuit in an X.25 link. The corresponding unit to
a permanent unit must also be permanent.
IOSIZE=
input-output-size
specifies the input-output size used by the unit. This is the largest number of
bytes that can be transferred in a read or write operation.
The default input-output size is 256. You can specify an input-output size from
128 through 4096 bytes. You should specify the same input-output size for each
unit in a unit pair.
This is applicable for SNA links and X.25 links, but not PTP links.
CONNECTDELAY=
connect-delay
specifies the connect delay in seconds.
The default connect delay is 60 seconds. You can specify a number from 60
through 999 seconds. You should specify a slightly different connect delay for
each unit in a unit pair to avoid contention while the link is being established.
For an SNA primary unit, this is the delay between BIND attempts. For an SNA
secondary unit, this is the delay between INITSELF attempts.
For PTP primary and secondary units, this is the delay between OPEN attempts.
For X.25 active units, this is the delay between call attempts.
DTEADDR=
dte-address
specifies the numeric identifier corresponding to the data-terminal equipment
(DTE) address (or telephone number) of the called party. This is applicable for the
active unit on X.25 links only.
You can specific a numeric identifier from 0 through 17 characters long. All
characters must be digits.
