Updating a SYSPARMS
Operand Value
If the command authority level associated with your user ID is high enough, you can
update the values of most system parameters. A few system parameters can be
modified only during system startup (before any users are logged on to NonStop
NET/MASTER MS).
To update the value of a SYSPARMS operand, position your cursor on the field
containing the current value, overtype it with the new value, and press the ENTER
key.
If the update is successful, the STATUS field displays an updated message.
The update may not be successful due to the following reasons:
If you enter an invalid value, the STATUS field displays an invalid message. A
message similar to the following appears in the message line, providing more
information about the nature of the invalid value:
CDELAY - THE NUMERIC VALUE '400' WAS OUT OF RANGE, THE
RANGE IS 0 TO 300
