The installation attributes describe characteristics of the user ID definition record that
are meaningful to a NonStop NET/MASTER MS system. Using the SECCALL verb,
NCL procedures can read and use the data in the installation attribute fields for any
purpose. The NonStop NET/MASTER NCL Programmer’s Guide explains how an NCL
procedure can access the information in the Installation Attribute fields; refer to the
discussion of the SECCALL verb in that manual. The NonStop NET/MASTER NCL
Reference Manual provides additional information about the SECCALL verb.
For example, if you integrate the NetStatus monitoring console with NonStop
NET/MASTER MS, you can enter the name of a default NetStatus display set in any of
the four Installation Attribute fields. The external-format file name of the default
display set is entered in an Installation Attribute field. Each field can contain up to 32
characters. The Distributed Systems Management Solutions (DSMS) System Management
Guide discusses the creation and naming of NetStatus default display sets.
