2. Move to the User ID Management Services : Primary Menu panel.
If you have just added the “prototype” user ID, NonStop NET/MASTER MS
returns you to the panel after it adds the record to the UMS database.
3. Enter C in the Select Option field.
4. Enter the name of the prototype user ID definition record in the User field.
5. Press the ENTER key.
NonStop NET/MASTER MS displays Page 1 of the user ID definition record for
the user ID you specified in Step 1. Note that the Function field is set to ADD.
You can use any of the commands available in ADD mode.
6. Enter personal information about the user in these fields:
User ID
Initial Password
User Name
User Location
Phone Number
As a security precaution, the Copy operation does not copy the initial password
that you assigned in the prototype user ID definition record.
7. Move the cursor to the Guardian ID field and enter the GUIDs to which this user
ID can have access.
8. Review Pages 2 through 5 of the user ID definition record to verify that the
remaining information is appropriate for the new user ID definition record.
You need not change any information except the user ID and the initial password.
You may, however, wish to ensure that the personal information is correct. You
should also verify that the values in the Guardian ID fields are correct.
9. If you are satisfied with all of the information you have entered for the user ID
definition record, press the F3 function key to issue the FILE command.
The FILE command submits the new user ID definition record to the UMS
database. When the command completes execution, NonStop NET/MASTER MS
returns you to the User ID Management Services : Primary Menu panel and
displays a notification message similar to the following:
NNM0769 USER DEFINITION PYNCHON ADDED
NonStop NET/MASTER MS writes a message to its activity log, recording the fact
that you changed the UMS data base.
