Minimum Severity Class Field
The Minimum Severity Class field sets the default value and lower limit of the EMS
and PPO messages that the user receives. PPO messages possess a severity level rating
of one of the following (from least severe to most severe):
INFO (informational)
WARN (warning)
NORM (normal)
SER (serious)
EMS messages with an emphasis token set to TRUE are classified SER, and all other
EMS messages are, by default, classified NORM. If you set the Minimum Severity
Class field to NORM, the user can use the PROFILE EMS command to restrict message
delivery to SER; the user cannot expand the universe of received messages to include
WARN, NORM, and SER.
Unsolicited Message Receipt Field
The Unsolicited Message Receipt field provides the initial setting of the operator
profile UNSOL attribute. The setting of the UNSOL attribute determines whether a
user can receive unsolicited messages of any kind, including EMS, PPO, and monitor-
class messages, and messages directed by the MSGCODE value. If the UNSOL
attribute is set to NO, the user receives only responses to commands. Users can alter
this setting with the PROFILE UNSOL command.
Initial OCS command Field
The Initial OCS command field specifies a command that is executed whenever the
user selects OCS from the NonStop NET/MASTER MS Primary Menu. The user can
specify a single command or concatenated commands. The user can also execute an
NCL procedure with a START or EXEC command. (An NCL procedure may have
many commands.) A user can change the value in the field or remove the initial
command altogether by using the PROFILE INITCMD command.
