2. Position the cursor in the first available field in the User ID column and enter a
defined NonStop NET/MASTER MS user ID.
NonStop NET/MASTER MS accepts only user IDs that you have defined with
User ID Management Services. NonStop NET/MASTER MS shifts the user IDs to
uppercase.
You can allow up to 12 user IDs access to Utility Maintenance Services.
You cannot enter information in the fields in the User Name column. NonStop
NET/MASTER MS displays contents of the User Name field in the user ID
definition record associated with the user ID. Initially, and after any validation of
the User ID fields, each User Name field displays the name of the user
corresponding to the user ID on its line. The name of the user comes from the
User name field on the UMS : User Details panel. The name appears only to help
you verify that the user ID represents the person intended.
3. If necessary, check the data you entered by pressing the ENTER key.
If the Command field is empty, you can check the data in all fields for validity by
pressing the ENTER key.
4. Review the data and press the F3 function key to add the user ID(s).
If you entered the data correctly, NonStop NET/MASTER MS returns you to the
User ID Management Services : Primary Menu panel and displays the following
notification message:
NNM2350 UTILITY MAINTENANCE USERS LIST UPDATED
The change takes effect immediately.
Note When you add a User ID to this list, be sure that the user ID’s profile has been granted UMS management
privileges, because the Utility Maintenance Services panels are accessed from the User ID Management
Services : Primary Menu panel. Additionally, the user ID must have an authority level sufficient to execute
a FUP CREATE command, because the addition of utility or command set definition records executes
such a command. See Section 6, “Managing Access to External Utilities and Applications,” for additional
information.
The list of users with access to Utility Maintenance Services is stored in the
pUACAUTH file, which contains the customized utility command set definition
database.
