The display conveys:
The user ID
The logical name of the terminal at which the user is logged on
The name of the user (specified in the user ID definition record)
The location of the user (specified in the user ID definition record)
The status of the user
The STATUS field enables you to determine the location of an OCS user:
If the user is logged on to the local NonStop NET/MASTER MS system, the user’s
status is ACTIVE.
If the user is logged on from a remote NonStop NET/MASTER MS or a SOLVE
management services system, the user’s status is REMOTE.
Forcing a Logoff If an unauthorized user gains access to NonStop NET/MASTER MS, you can expel the
user by forcing a logoff by issuing the CANCEL command. The command takes the
following form:
CANCEL U=
user-id
For example, if an intruder logs on with a user ID of PYNCHON, you can force the
user off by issuing the following command:
CANCEL U=PYNCHON
The command logs the user off and terminates all commands and NCL processes
executing under the control of the user.
