When you issue either the ENTER command or a scrolling command, NonStop
NET/MASTER MS validates the data on the current screen before it executes the
command you issued. NonStop NET/MASTER MS determines whether the values in
each field have the correct syntax and are within the range of permissible values. If a
field contains illegal data, NonStop NET/MASTER MS terminates execution of the
command, writes an error message on the third line of the panel, and, in many cases,
highlights every field that contains illegal data. If the Command field is empty, you
can manually validate all data on the current screen by pressing the ENTER key.
Table 6-2 lists the scrolling commands, which are available only on panels that display
lists. To issue a command, enter it in the Command field, located at the top of a list
panel, and press the function key listed next to the command in Table 6-2. The
argument
nnn
specifies the number of lines you want to move either forward or
backward in the list. Specify
nnn
as an integer from 1 through 999.
