3. Type the name of the utility in the Enter Utility Name field.
The value you enter in the Enter Utility Name field is the character string with
which users will invoke the program. For example, if users start the program by
typing YAMMERER at the TACL prompt, enter the value YAMMERER in the
field.
4. Type O in the OPSYS or PROGRUN field.
5. Press the ENTER key.
Page 1 of the UMS : Utility Details panel appears on your screen.
“Contents of a Utility Definition Record,” earlier in this section, identifies each
field on the panel and describes its purpose, valid values and, if appropriate,
default value.
The values in the Enter Utility Name and OPSYS or PROGRUN fields are carried
over from the UMS : Utility Definition Maintenance panel. You can change them
on the UMS : Utility Details panel.
6. Enter information in the fields for which you want the values to change. Use the
F8 function key (FORWARD command) and the F7 function key (BACKWARD
command) to move between Pages 1 and 2 of the UMS : Utility Details panels.
The following fields on Page 1 must contain a value:
Utility Name
OPSYS or PROGRUN
File/Macro Name
If the TACL Macro field contains Y, then the command formed is sent to the utility
named TACL. For example, if the utility YAMMERER is defined with File/Macro
Name of MACRONAME and the TACL Macro field contains Y, then either of the
commands
OPSYS YAMMERER
parameters
or
OPSYS SEND YAMMERER
parameters
is interpreted as this command:
OPSYS SEND TACL MACRONAME
parameters
7. To submit the new utility definition record, press the F3 function key to issue the
FILE command.
The FILE command adds the record to the customized utility definition database.
When the command completes execution, NonStop NET/MASTER MS returns
you to the UMS : Utility Definition Maintenance panel and displays a notification
message similar to this one:
NNM2179 UTILITY DEFINITION YAMMERER O ADDED
