NonStop NET/MASTER MS also sends the message to its activity log, recording
the fact that you added a utility definition to the customized utility definition
database.
8. Specify the minimum command authority level required to access the utility and,
optionally, any or all of the utility’s commands.
To specify the command authority levels, you must add a record to the command
set definition database. See “Securing External Utilities,” later in this section, for
details.
Adding a Record for
Utilities Accessed by the
PROGRUN Command
The PROGRUN command must be used to start sessions with block-mode programs,
and can be used with conversational-mode utilities. You can enable users
1. Move to the UMS : Utility Definition Maintenance panel.
2. Type A in the Select Option field to add a utility definition record.
3. Type the name of the utility in the Enter Utility Name field.
4. Type P in the OPSYS or PROGRUN field, indicating that users will start a session
with the program by using the PROGRUN command.
5. Press the ENTER key.
The UMS : Utility Details panel appears on your screen. The values in the Utility
Name field and the OPSYS or PROGRUN field are carried over from the same
fields as on the UMS : Utility Definition Maintenance panel. You can change the
values on the UMS : Utility Details panel, if you wish.
6. Enter information in these fields:
File/Macro Name (required)
Startup Text (optional)

7. To submit the new utility definition record, press the F3 function key to issue the
FILE command.
The FILE command adds the record to the customized utility definition database.
When the command completes execution, NonStop NET/MASTER MS returns
you to the UMS : Utility Definition Maintenance panel and displays a notification
message similar to this one:
