“The dolphin is a marine mammal known for its intelligence and playfulness.
Dolphins are related to whales, but are smaller and have a beak-like snout.
Many people wonder about the difference between dolphins and porpoises; porpoises are
a type of dolphin. Both belong to the order Cetacea. Porpoises have blunt snouts and
triangular dorsal fins. An Orca (known as Killer Whale) is a dolphin.”
For more information about writing customized text for the EVENTTD file, refer to the
DSM Template Services Manual.
Creating and Installing an
EVENTCX File
You can override the entries in the EVENTTD file by creating and installing your own
event detail database. This is called a customized event detail database, EVENTCX.
When a user selects an event, and requests event detail information, NonStop
NET/MASTER MS always looks in the customized event detail database first. If the
customized event detail database does not contain advisory text for the event message,
NonStop NET/MASTER MS looks for it in the EVENTTD file. Therefore, you can
override the advisory text for certain events while retaining the default text for others.
To use a customized event detail database, you must create the file and install it.
