SNA Unit Definition
Guidelines
SNA unit definitions configure use of LU type 0 subdevices. Table 9-4 provides
guidelines for configuring SNA unit definitions.

UNIT DEFINE
Operand Definition Guidelines
unit-name Specifies the name of the unit, from 1 to 12 displayable characters; alphabetic
characters are shifted to uppercase.
SESSION Specifies the name of the session to which the unit is subordinate.
DEVICE Identifies an SNA logical unit with which INMC exchanges data blocks.
MODE PRIMARY for PLUs;
SECONDARY for SLUs.
All units of the same line on the same node must be either PLUs or SLUs.
CONNECTDELAY For PLUs, specifies the interval between BIND attempts; should be slightly
different than the value of the INITSELF attempt interval specified for the
associated SLUs.
For SLUs, specifies the interval between INITSELF attempts; should differ
slightly from the value of the BIND attempt interval specified for the associated
PLUs.
Specify CONNECTDELAY in seconds; the default value is 60 seconds.
IOSIZE Specifies the largest number of bytes that INMC sends to or reads from the LU
specified by the DEVICE operand. Specify as an integer in the range
128-4096. Specify the same IOSIZE for both the PLUs and the SLUs.
Recommended value for SNA units is 1024; the default is 256.
COMMENT An optional text string of up to 50 displayable characters.
