Database
This subsection discusses the two files that make up the NonStop NET/MASTER MS
command help database: the distributed command help database and the customized
command help database. It also discusses the command help edit file, the file to which
you export information and from which you import information. Figure 13-1 shows
the relationship between the three files. The procedures used to export and import
information are described later in this section.

The Distributed Command
Help Database
NonStop NET/MASTER MS is distributed with a key-sequenced file that contains
information for NonStop NET/MASTER MS commands. This is called the distributed
command help file. During NonStop NET/MASTER MS startup in the INIT NCL
procedure, this file is opened as a user database (UDB). After NonStop NET/MASTER
MS startup, as Figure 13-1 shows, this file is called the distributed command help
database.
The distributed command help file contains command help information distributed as
part of a NonStop NET/MASTER MS installation or upgrade. NonStop
NET/MASTER MS upgrades replace the distributed command help file. After an
installation or upgrade, the location and name of the distributed command help file is:
$
isv-vol
.ZNNMDATA.ZHLPDB
Distributed command help information is written with a cultural indicator of “US”
and is set out in a standard format. (Cultural indicators and the standard help format
are described later in this section.)
