How the Cultural Indicator
and Language Code Affect
Display
This subsection summarizes how the cultural indicator assigned to a command or a
command/operand combination, and the language code assigned to a user determine
the help information displayed by user.
If a user requests help information for a specific command or command/operand
combination, NonStop NET/MASTER MS determines the language code assigned to
the user. NonStop NET/MASTER MS tries to find the requested command or
command/operand combination with a cultural indicator that matches the language
code of the user.
If NonStop NET/MASTER MS finds a match, it displays the help information for the
command or command/operand combination.
If NonStop NET/MASTER MS cannot find a match, it tries to find the requested
command or command/operand combination with a cultural indicator that matches
the value set by the SYSPARMS LANG command.
If NonStop NET/MASTER MS finds a match, it displays the command help
information for the command or command/operand combination.
If NonStop NET/MASTER MS cannot find a match, this means that NonStop
NET/MASTER MS cannot find help information for the command or
command/operand combination.
