Deleting Command
Help Information
All users with Help Maintenance access privileges can delete help information from
the command help database.
The Delete Procedure To delete command help information, move to the Help Maintenance : Commands
panel, and follow these steps:
1. Type D in the Select Option field.
2. Type a command or command/operand combination:
If you want to delete information for a command, move to the Command field
and type the name of the command.
If you want to delete information for a command/operand combination, move
to the Command field and type the name of a command, then move to the
Operand field and type the name of the operand that uniquely identifies the
command/operand combination.
3. Move to the Culture field and type the culture of the command or
command/operand combination for which you want to delete information.
4. Move to the Confirm Delete? field and type either YES or NO:
If you want to confirm deletion, type YES.
If you want to delete without confirmation, type NO.
5. If you typed YES in Step 4, follow these steps:
a. Press the ENTER key.
If the information exists, the Help Maintenance : Command Delete panel
appears on your screen. Other than the Command field, all fields are
protected and appear only to help you verify that the information you select is
the information you want to delete.
b. To confirm the delete operation, press the ENTER key.
When the delete operation completes execution, NonStop NET/MASTER MS
returns you to the panel from which you invoked the delete operation and
displays a notification message on the third line of the panel.
If you typed NO in Step 4, press the ENTER key: the information is deleted.
If a user is viewing help information while another user deletes the help information,
the user viewing the help information is unaffected by the delete operation.
