The Delete Operation The delete operation deletes information from the customized or distributed command
help database, as follows:
If the command or command/operand combination does not exist in either
command help database, the delete operation fails.
If the command or command/operand combination exists in the customized
command help database but not the distributed command help database, the
record is deleted from the customized command help database.
If the command or command/operand combination exists in the distributed
command help database but not the customized command help database, a
delete-record is written to the customized command help database. The record
logically deletes the help information from the distributed command help
database.
If the command or command/operand combination exists in both files, a
delete-record replaces the existing record in the customized command help
database. The record deletes the help information from the customized command
help database, and logically deletes the help information from the distributed
command help database.
