8. Press the F8 function key.
The F8 function key issues the FORWARD command. The command checks the
data on the current panel and, if the data is valid, moves you to the next panel. If a
field contains data that violates the syntax for that data item, NonStop
NET/MASTER MS highlights the field that contains the erroneous data and
displays an error message. If you omit data from a field that requires an entry,
NonStop NET/MASTER MS highlights the field, and displays the following error
message:
REQUIRED FIELD OMITTED
If you enter erroneous data, enter the correct data and press the F8 function key
again. See Section 4, “Managing User Access and Privileges,” for more
information about the data allowed for each panel.
The UMS : User Attributes panel appears on your screen.
9. Type a command authority level in the Authority Level field.
By default, the security administrator’s authority level should be at least 9 to use
security-related PARAM and SYSPARMS commands, and to maintain utility and
application access definitions.
Note An authority level of 255 is required to use the OPSYS command to execute certain Guardian utility
commands. Refer to the NonStop NET/MASTER MS Command Reference Manual for these commands.
