Task 2: Grant Access to
Utility Maintenance
Services
Grant the security administrator’s user ID access to Utility Maintenance Services by
following the instructions listed below.
Caution The first user ID definition record that you add must be granted Utility Maintenance Services access
during the initial installation: otherwise, NonStop NET/MASTER MS denies access to the features
altogether, and you cannot access Utility Maintenance Services without reinstalling NonStop
NET/MASTER MS. (If this should happen, follow the instructions in “Reinstalling NonStop NET/MASTER
MS,” later in this section.)
1. From the User ID Management Services : Primary Menu panel, enter Z at the
Select Option prompt, and press the ENTER key.
The UMS : Utility Maintenance Users panel appears on your screen.
2. Move the cursor to a field in the User ID column, and type the user ID that you
defined in Task 1 of this phase.
If you used the name supplied in this manual’s examples, enter SCTYADMN.
Your screen should resemble the next example:
