If you use the NNM program after NonStop NET/MASTER MS startup, the
SHUTDOWN command is immediately submitted to the BSYS virtual user for
execution. As a result of executing the command, NonStop NET/MASTER MS shuts
down.

Canceling the Shutdown Operation. If you use the NNM program to perform a normal
shutdown operation during NonStop NET/MASTER MS startup, you can cancel the
shutdown operation by pressing the BREAK key before the SHUTDOWN command is
submitted to the BSYS virtual user. NonStop NET/MASTER MS continues normally.
Your screen resembles the following display if the BREAK key is pressed after the
NNM1560 $ZNNM SHUTDOWN PROCEEDING message:

If you use the NNM program to perform a normal shutdown operation after NonStop
NET/MASTER MS startup, a user logged on to NonStop NET/MASTER MS with
sufficient command authority can use the SHUTDOWN CANCEL command to cancel
the shutdown operation.
Note You cannot issue the SHUTDOWN CANCEL command using the NNM program.
