NNM0077 INMC OPEN ERROR
errno
, LINK=
linkname
DEVICE=
devname
Cause. A LINK START command was issued but the INMC software was unable to
open the configured X.25 or SNA device because of the error.
errno
is the Guardian file-system error number.
linkname
is the name of the INMC link.
devname
is the name of the device that cannot be opened.
Effect. The INMC subsystem will continue to try to acquire the device, each time
displaying the message while the problem persists.
If the link has just one device, you cannot use the link until the problem is resolved. If
other units that use other devices and support the same link can be opened, you can
use the link; however, the message continues to appear for the device at fault.
Recovery. You can use the LINK RESET command to reset the link and stop the
message from being continuously generated. Recovery depends on the Guardian
file-system error number contained in the message. Common errors are:
48 security: Caused by a faulty Safeguard setting or incorrect
REMOTEPASSWORDS in the case of remote devices. The user that started the
NonStop NET/MASTER MS system must have the correct remote password
setting to the accessible Tandem systems, and the Safeguard setting for this user
must allow access to the named device.
12 in use: Some other program or another unit is already using the device.
11 not found: The device name could have been misspelled.
