CNMCLEAR The CNMCLEAR verb requests that all outstanding communications network
management (CNM) reply data solicited by a CNMSEND request be discarded.
CNMCLEAR is normally used when a procedure is about to terminate and some
possibility exists that not all data solicited by CNMSEND has been processed.
CNMCLEAR purges this unprocessed data so that the results of a subsequent
CNMSEND verb can be guaranteed to be the next available data for processing by a
CNMREAD verb.
CNMCLEAR may be issued at any time, to initialize the CNM reply environment,
regardless of the status of CNMSEND or CNMREAD processing.
Using this verb requires an understanding of IBM System Network Architecture
(SNA) networks.
CNMCLEAR
Considerations
Issuing a CNMCLEAR request from EMSPROC affects only data directed to
CNMREAD, not data directed to EMSREAD.

and EMSREAD.
