Prefix Information Prefix information, if present, contains information identifying messages that
originated from a background environment or from a remote peer system using the
ROUTE command.

contains the characters that are prefixed to the display line. This is present if the
message originated from a background environment or from remote operator
control (ROC). The variable also contains the IDs of the first and prior nodes
through which the message has passed.

.PREFIX.LASTMSGID
indicates the type of message and the ID of the prior node through which the
message passed.

.PREFIX.LASTMSGID.ID
contains the message prefix value set by the LINK or ROUTE command.

.PREFIX.LASTMSGID.TYPE
contains a value that indicates the source of the message. Valid values are ROC,
indicating an ROC message, or MAIOC, indicating an IBM multiple-access
interface operator control (MAI-OC) message.

contains the prefix values of messages originating from background environments.
The variable is optional and can occur more than once.

contains the prefix values for each of the sources through which the message
