For a description of the profile parameters, refer to the PROFILE command definition
in the NonStop NET/MASTER MS Command Reference Manual.
When a message handler starts using the ruleset, the handler sets the profile of the
environment it services according to the value of the fields. If a field is blank, the
handler leaves the corresponding profile parameter unchanged. The initial values for
the Base Profile fields are as follows:
Field Initial Value
EMS YES
MONMSG N
MSGCODE FF
UNSOL Y
Others Blank (these profile parameters will not be changed)
Note If you intend to use the ruleset with an INT-type message handler in the background environments BMON
and EMSP, leave the value of the MONMSG field as N.
Adding a Message
Action Rule
You can add message action rules to a ruleset. You can add the rules dynamically
when a message handler is using the ruleset and make the rule available to the handler
immediately. Use a message action rule to enhance message presentation and to
automate tasks. You specify message criteria to determine which message can trigger
the rule. You can also use the message action rule to implement the following special
rules:
%INCLUDE rules load additional rulesets when you start a message handler.
%START rules perform initialization actions when you start a message handler.
