Specifying the Message
Action Rule Actions
You can instruct RMS to perform specified actions when this rule is triggered (for
example, to automate tasks). You specify the actions using the RMS : System Action
panel (page 5 of the message action rule definition panels).

You can set up the rule to instruct RMS to perform the following when a message
triggers the rule:
Issue NonStop NET/MASTER MS commands.
Start an NCL procedure.
Issue NonStop NET/MASTER MS commands using a command group.
Specify the background environment in which NonStop NET/MASTER MS
commands, NCL procedures, and NonStop NET/MASTER commands using a
command group can be executed.
Specify an NCL queue
Activate a timer by loading a time-based rule.
Set the value of variables.
Load another ruleset to replace this ruleset.
Execute an exit NCL procedure to perform user-defined actions that are not
directly supported by RMS.
