Specifying the Message Attributes
You can instruct RMS to deliver your message with certain attributes. Specify the
settings in the following fields (if you do not want to set an attribute, leave the
corresponding field blank):
Field Description
Alarm Determines if the message should sound an alarm. The value must be blank, N (no),
or Y (yes). If the value is blank, RMS delivers the message using Alarm=N.
Color Determines the color of the message. The value must be blank, B (blue), G (green),
P (pink), R (red), T (turquoise), W (white), or Y (yellow). If the value is blank, the
message appears on a terminal in the default display color of the terminal.
Monitor Determines if the message should be delivered to monitor-class users. The value must
be blank, N (no), or Y (yes). If the value is blank, RMS delivers the message using
Monitor=N.
Intens Determines the display intensity. The value must be blank, H (high), or L (low). If the
value is blank, RMS delivers the message using Intens=L.
Hlight Determines the method of highlighting. The value must be blank, B (blink),
R (reverse video), or U (underscore). If the value is blank, RMS delivers the message
without highlighting.
NRD Determines if the message should be processed as a non-roll-delete (NRD) message.
The value must be blank, N (no), or Y (yes). If the value is blank, RMS delivers the
message using NRD=N.
Scan Determines if the text in the Replacement Text fields should be scanned for the @
highlight characters. The value must be blank, N (no), or Y (yes). If the value is blank,
RMS delivers the message using Scan=N.
Msg Code Determines which OCS users can receive the changed message. The value must be
blank or in the hexadecimal range 00 through FF. If the value is blank, RMS delivers
the message using Msg Code=00.
Note Only the Color, Hlight, and Intens fields are relevant if you intend to use a panel to display your message.

Specifying Text of the Message
You can specify text of the message that the triggered rule should deliver. You can
specify the method of text delivery, either as a panel or line by line.
