RMS bases the definition of function key settings on the NonStop NET/MASTER
MS FK command. Refer to the NonStop NET/MASTER MS Command Reference
Manual for the FK command syntax.
You can map two types of functions to a function key. The types are as follows:
Functions that are of types CONV (conversational), IMM (immediate),
PREF (prefix), and SUFF (suffix). These types of function keys are effective
when you press the key while the cursor is on the OCS command line.
Functions that are of type ACT (action). This type of function key is effective
when you press the key while the cursor is on a message in the message
display area of the OCS window.
You specify the settings using the IMM/CONV/PREF/SUFF field and the
ACTION field. For example, F3, which is set initially to return you to the previous
panel, has the value IMM,X in the IMM/CONV/PREF/SUFF field as follows:

3. Before filing your changed function key settings, you should specify the filing
method in the Activation field on page 4 of the RMS : Function Key Settings
panels.
If you want to save the function key settings but do not want to make the
settings available to existing MSGPROC message handlers that use the ruleset
and your OCS window, leave the initial value D (deferred) in the Activation
field.
