The Activation field can consist of the following values:
Value Description
I Determines whether the target ruleset and records are immediately available to
any message handlers using the target ruleset. Immediate activation only occurs
when the destination database is the current RMS database ZRMSDB. Immediate
activation of the ruleset occurs when the current message has completed
processing.
D Determines whether activation of the ruleset and records is deferred until the next
time the message handler is started using the ruleset.
Printing Ruleset
Reports
You can generate a report about a ruleset, send it to a spooler, and print it on a printer
if a printer is associated with the spooler location. You print a report, for example,
when you want to study a ruleset offline. You can generate a report in the following
three formats:
You can print the details of any record in the ruleset. You can print a detailed
report on any of the following as selected:
Control options
Selected rules
Selected command groups
Associated environmental profile
Associated function key settings
Default ruleset allocation
You can print a summarized report that provides a complete list of any of the
following if you do not want the details:
Message action rules
Message group rules
Time-based rules
Command groups
You can print a summarized report that provides a partial list of any of the
following if you only want a listing of the records that have certain particular
characteristics:
Message action rules
Message group rules
Time-based rules
Command groups
You use the rule or command group definition fields as criteria to limit the items
in a list. You use this function to identify records that have similar characteristics.
Figure 6-11 shows the panels you encounter when printing a report.
