Maintaining Message Sets You can perform the following maintenance functions on the message sets that you
use to test your rulesets by using the RMS : Captured Message Set Selection panel. To
get to the panel, type =R.7.5 at any => prompt and press ENTER. You can also get to
the panel as shown in Figure 8-4.
Add a message set by using another message set as a model.
Merge the messages in one message set into another message set.
Select a message set for modification.
Add or update the comments on a message set.
Delete a message set.
Type the appropriate action codes next to the name of the message sets to act on and
press ENTER. The action codes are as follows:
For action code A (Add with model), the RMS : Saved Message Set Maintenance
panel appears. Specify the name of the message set you want to create and press
ENTER. A message confirms the success of the operation.
For action code CP (Copy to merge), an inset appears prompting for the name of
the message set to merge the messages into.
a. Specify the name of the message set in the MSGSET NAME field.
b. Specify N (NO, do not replace if the message already exists) or Y (YES, replace
if the message already exists) in the REPLACE field. The default is N.
Press ENTER to start copying the messages. The source message set is flagged as
**COPIED** if the operation is successful.
For action code S (Select), the RMS : Captured Message Set Edit panel appears,
allowing you to operate on the messages in the set. See “Modifying a Message
Set” earlier in this section.
For action code C (Comment), the RMS : Comments Maintenance panel appears.
Add or update the comments and then press F3 to file the new comments.
For action code D (Delete), a message appears prompting you to confirm the
deletion of the message set.
Note If you change your mind and do not want to delete the selected message sets, cancel the deleting
operation by pressing F12 and do not press ENTER to confirm the deletion.
Press ENTER to confirm the deletion. A record is flagged as **DELETED** if the
operation is successful.
