day indicated by the date. If you leave the Day field blank, the value in the
field defaults to the correct day.
If you want to stop the simulation, press F12 and do not perform Steps 3 and 4.
3. Press F3 to send the simulated time event. The RMS : Event Simulation—
Triggered Actions panel appears with a list of the triggered rules.
4. Analyze the list of triggered rules to determine what you want to do next and
proceed as follows:
If you want to check the parameters of your simulated time, press F6. The
parameters of your simulated time appear in the RMS : Event Simulation—
Time-Based Rules panel. You cannot modify the parameters on this panel.
If you want to test the ruleset again with a different simulated time, press F3 to
return to the RMS : Event Simulation—Time-Based Rules panel and repeat
Steps 2 and 3.
If you want to change the rules in the ruleset, use the action codes to operate
on the triggered rules as follows:
Use the action code A or S to add or modify a rule. The RMS : Time-Based
Rule Definition panel appears. See “Adding a Time-Based Rule” in
Section 5 for a detailed description of the fields on the panel. Use the
Activation field (initial value D) to specify how you want to file the
definition.
Note During event simulation, RMS reads the RMS database for the time-based rules. If you specify N in the
Activation field when filing the rule definition, the RMS database is not updated, and the new or modified
rule cannot be checked against the simulated time event.
Use the action code D to delete any of the triggered rules from the ruleset
and update the RMS database.
If you add, modify, or delete any of the triggered rules, RMS resends the
simulated time event and returns you to the RMS : Event Simulation—
Triggered Actions panel in Step 3. The panel displays the new list of triggered
rules. If no rules are triggered, RMS returns you to the RMS : Event
Simulation—Time-Based Rules panel in Step 1b. By selecting more than one
triggered rule, you can operate on all the selected rules before RMS resends
the simulated time event.
