Controlling an RMS Timer
Controlling Message Handlers and Rules
115415 NonStop NET/MASTER RMS Management and Operations Guide 9–29
If (1) the Status field is ACTIVE and (2) the Activation field is D (rule definition
saved but not activated immediately), the RMS timer is activated only when RMS
initializes.
If (1) the Status field is PENDING, (2) the Activation field is I (rule definition
saved) or N (if you are modifying an existing rule and do not want the rule
definition saved), and (3) a message handler is using the ruleset that contains the
time-based rule, the RMS timer is activated when one of the actions of a triggered
rule in the ruleset activates the timer.
Displaying RMS Timers You can display the list of active RMS timers by selecting option 3 from the NonStop
NET/MASTER RMS primary menu panel. The RMS : Active Timers panel appears
and provides the following information on the timers:

(specified in the AT field of the time-based rule definition).
Dmap/Date Identifies the days of the week in the sequence Monday through Sunday or the date

Days field or the On Date field of the time-based rule definition).
Frequency Shows the time interval in hh:mm:ss at which the timer should repeat the rule
actions (specified in the Every field of the time-based rule definition). If the value is
blank, the timer performs the actions only once.

Limit field of the time-based rule definition). The value is blank if the value of
