NCL Procedure or Panel
Problem
If the problem occurred in an NCL procedure or a panel, have ready the procedure file
and the panel description file.
DSNM Problem If there is a problem with DSNM, then along with the version information, gather
information on the following:
How DSNM was installed
Whether DSNM was started prior to starting NonStop NET/MASTER MS, or
NonStop NET/MASTER MS started DSNM
Terminal Problem If there is a problem with a terminal, state the terminal type, configuration, and
emulator (if applicable). If possible, issue the TACL command WHO to find out the
name of your terminal.
Other Situational
Information
Other information that you should have ready includes the following:
History of the problem: has it happened before? If so, when and under what
conditions did it happen? Can you reproduce it? If so, state how to reproduce the
problem.
List of any recent changes to the system, including but not limited to new or
upgraded software modules, new hardware components, or changed NCL
procedures.
Any other information as stated in the explanation of the pertinent error messages.
Messages NonStop NET/MASTER RMS messages provide operational information on your
RMS application. Where a message signifies a problem, recovery guidelines are given
here that can help you solve the problem. The following explanations of the messages
are listed in sequence by the message ID.
RMS0002 INVALID SELECTION
Cause. You selected an option that is not listed on your menu panel, or used an action
code that is not listed on your selection list panel.
Effect. The action is not executed.
Recovery. If you selected an invalid option, change it to one of the options listed below
the Select Option ===> prompt on your menu panel; if you used an invalid action
code, change it to one of the action codes listed on the fourth line of your selection list
panel. Press ENTER to execute the associated action.
