Recovery. Change the invalid owner to a valid owner of a background environment
(one of BLOG, BMON, BSYS, or EMSP) in the Exec Region field.

Cause. A message handler experienced a fatal error that stopped the handler from
operating.
The message handler was executing as an NCL process with NCL ID,
ncl-id
.
handler-type
is the type of message handler and can have one of the following
values:
EMS The message handler is executing as an EMSPROC.
LOG The message handler is executing as a LOGPROC.
MSG The message handler is executing as a MSGPROC.
INT The message handler is executing in a user's current environment or in a
background environment.
Effect. The message handler terminates. The problem may occur only for the
particular condition; other RMS functions may still be available.
Recovery. Check for RMS error messages that appeared prior to this error and attempt
recovery based on those messages. If the recovery attempt fails, refer the problem to
your system manager. The system manager should contact the Tandem support
representative and provide the following:
Version of RMS that was being used
Details of the events leading up to the display of the error
Copy of RMS database
Copy of activity log
RMS1040 MESSAGE HANDLER START CANCELED
Cause. You started a message handler from the Start Message Handler panel with the
Parm Override field set to YES. Alternatively, a message handler was started through
the Event Simulation option where the Parm Override field is automatically set to YES.
The Control Options Definition panels appeared on your screen to allow you to
override the control options of the ruleset to be loaded. You pressed F12 from one of
the panels to cancel the operation and the starting of the message handler.
Effect. The message handler is not started.
Recovery. This message is informational only; no recovery action is necessary.
