Effect. If the Message Replacement setting is B, the message handler carries out the
replacement and delivers the message with the noted attributes.
If the Message Replacement setting is S, then this narrative message only describes the
action that would have been performed—the message handler delivers the original
message, and does not carry out the replacement or change the message attributes.
Recovery. This message is informational only; no recovery action is necessary.

Cause. A message triggered a message action rule that requested the modification of
the attributes of a message that was destined for the activity log. The delivery mode is
L (the value of the Delivery field on the Message Modification panel).
rule-id
is the
name of the triggered rule, and
ruleset-name
is the name of the ruleset that contains
the rule.
The message handler sent this narrative message to describe the action of modifying
the attributes of the triggering message before delivery to the log (these are the
attributes that you specified on the Message Modification panel). The Message
Modification control option of the ruleset used is set to B or S to narrate this action.
Whether the message handler actually logs the message with the modified attributes
depends on this setting.
Only the message attributes that are set in the rule definition appear in the message.
