A default for the Message Action ID field is available under the following conditions:
You specify a value in the Message ID or the SS ID field.
The value does not contain wild-card characters and is not a variable.
You can press ENTER to check that a default for the Message Action ID field is
available. The default is displayed in the Default value field on your panel. You can
specify another value in the Message Action ID field to override the default; otherwise,
the default is saved as the value for the Message Action ID field.
RMS6105 GENERIC SPECIFICATION INVALID FOR DYNAMIC RULE
Cause. You specified a value that contained both ampersands and asterisks (for
example, &$UV*) in the Message ID, SS ID, or MDO Element Value field on page 1 of
the message action rule definition panels. The value must not contain both
ampersands and asterisks.
Effect. The value is not accepted. The action is not performed.
Recovery. Change the invalid value to one that contains no ampersands or asterisks,
ampersands but no asterisks, or asterisks but no ampersands, before requesting the
action again. For example, if the value is the name of a variable, the name must
contain no asterisks.
RMS6106 WILD-CARD SPECIFICATION INVALID FOR DYNAMIC RULE
Cause. You specified a value that contained both ampersands and question marks (for
example, &$UV?A) in the Message ID, SS ID, or MDO Element Value field on page 1
of the message action rule definition panels. The value must not contain both
ampersands and question marks.
Effect. The value is not accepted. The action is not performed.
Recovery. Change the invalid value to one that contains no ampersands or question
marks, ampersands but no question marks, or question marks but no ampersands,
before requesting the action again. For example, if the value is the name of a variable,
the name must contain no question marks.
RMS6107 INVALID WILD-CARD SPECIFICATION
Cause. You specified a value that used a wild-card character (? or *) incorrectly in a
field on your data entry panel.
Effect. The value is not accepted. The action is not performed.
