Setting Up User IDs for
RMS
You may allow a user to have access to all RMS functions in the security exit NCL
procedure, but certain functions are further restricted by the authority level of the
user. The following functions may be restricted by the authority level of the user:
Function Required Authority Level
Starting an EMSPROC Authority level to issue the SYSPARMS EMSPROC= command
Starting a LOGPROC Authority level to issue the SYSPARMS LOGPROC= command
Starting a MSGPROC Authority level to issue the PROFILE MSGPROC= command
Purging a message handler Authority level to issue the FLUSH command
Executing a rule action Authority level to either issue a command directly or issue a command
through an NCL procedure (user is one that owns the environment in
which the message handler is executing)
Refer to the NonStop NET/MASTER MS Command Reference Manual for the default
authority levels for the commands.
You can modify the authority level of a user by using the Authority Level field in the
user ID definition. Refer to the NonStop NET/MASTER MS System Management Guide
for information on how to maintain user ID definition records.
