Setting Up a User for
BASERULE
To use the BASERULE ruleset with a message handler, the owner of the environment
that the message handler services must meet certain prerequisites. You must set up
the user that uses BASERULE as follows:
Ensure that the owner of the environment can receive EMS messages. Set the
Receive EMS Messages field in the user ID definition to Y if necessary.
Specify the ID of a super group member (that is, a Guardian user ID of 255,n,
where n is in the range 1 through 255) as the first Guardian ID in the Guardian ID
fields in the NonStop NET/MASTER MS user ID definition.
Specify a high enough authority level in the NonStop NET/MASTER MS user ID
definition to enable the user to issue the following commands:
NonStop NET/MASTER MS OPSYS command
Distributed Systems Network Management (DSNM) commands
Guardian utility commands as follows:
Communications Management Interface (CMI) utility INFO, START, and
STATUS commands
PATHCOM utility OPEN and RESUME commands
Peripheral Utility Program (PUP) utility LISTDEV command
Tandem Advanced Command Language (TACL) utility RCVDUMP,
RELOAD, and STATUS commands
TACL PUP
TACL run-command, where run-command is the first word of each of the
startup commands for the terminals in your TACL command interpreter
startup file. Some examples are TACL, TACL/, RUN, or the name of a
TACL macro.
You can find the required authority level for the utility commands by using
the Maintain Utility Command Set Definitions option in NonStop
NET/MASTER MS User ID Management Services (UMS). Refer to the
NonStop NET/MASTER MS System Management Guide for information on how
to manage access to external utilities.
