NonStop Cluster Essentials Installation and Quick Start Guide

Changing the status to Active and Enabled requires a restart of the database instance,
as well as starting or restarting the HP Systems Insight Manager Service.
Linux CMS Requirements
With NonStop Cluster Essentials 2.1.0 and later, NonStop Cluster Essentials can be installed on
a Linux CMS. Use of NonStop Cluster Essentials on the Linux CMS is limited; you cannot install or
use the NonStop Cluster Boot Application, OSM applications, or access the NonStop Cluster
Essentials browser-based interface on a Linux CMS. The Linux CMS can be used to host HP SIM
and you can install and use the NonStop Cluster Account Management and NonStop Cluster
Configuration Management applications.
To install NonStop Cluster Essentials on a Linux CMS, it must meet the following minimum
requirements:
Hardware any HP IA-32 AMD64 or EM64T system with at least a 1.5-GHz processor and
1 GB RAM; 2.4-GHz processor and 2 GB RAM is recommended.
Operating system must be running one of the following minimum versions:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, Update 4 (32 bit)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, Update 5 (32 bit)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (32 bit)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, Update 8 (64 bit)
