NonStop Server Software Requirements
NonStop Cluster Essentials supports the following RVUs:
J06.03 and later
H06.03 and later
G06.24 and later
NOTE: If you plan to use HP NonStop I/O Essentials in conjunction with NonStop Cluster Essentials
to further extend NonStop system management functionality, higher minimum RVUs and SPRs apply
for H- and J-series to support CLuster I/O Modules (CLIMs). For more information, see the NonStop
I/O Essentials Installation and Quick Start Guide.
NonStop Cluster Essentials requires the following minimum OSM SPR:
For J-series and H-series: T0682H02^ABI

NonStop Cluster Essentials requires SSH Server T0801H01^AAA or later available on H06.11
(and later) SUTs (see “Installing SSH on NonStop Servers (page 21)). It does not require that the
full SSH (T0801) product be purchased and licensed.
Additional Requirements for Specific Functionality
These apply only if you plan to use the particular product or task described:

“Configuring TimeSync (page 27).
The “HP Storage Works Data Protector Express Linux server task under the Backup and Restore
Management category requires the HP Storage Works Data Protector Express to be installed
on the console. Purchase HP Storage Works Data Protector Express or HP Storage Essentials
Enterprise Edition software in order to use these tasks.
Some Linux management tasks require Webmin. Visit www.webmin.com for download and
installation instructions.
Some Software Management tasks require that iTP Webserver is installed and running.
NSMweb, the Graphical User Interface for SQL/MX, requires a change to a Java configuration
file. Open Program Files\Java\JRE<version>\lib\security\java.policy file, where <version>
is the particular version id you are running. Open the file in WordPad, not Notepad, since it
has Unix-style line terminators, and make sure you save it in text-only mode. Add the following
lines to the end of the file:
