Supported Release Version Updates (RVUs)
This manual supports J06.03 and all subsequent J-series RVUs, H06.04 and all subsequent H-series
RVUs, and G06.24 and all subsequent G-series RVUs until otherwise indicated in a replacement
publication.
New and Changed Information in This Edition
This version of this document has been updated for NonStop Cluster Essentials release 3.0.0 to
add the following:
Support for a server to be part of multiple cluster configurations, see “Assigning a Server to
Multiple Cluster Configurations” (page 24).
Added section “Configuring SSL” (page 33) that includes a new option where a 2048-bit SSL
certificate can communicate with a NonStop system.
The Cluster Event Viewer application sorts events based on GMT time and not local time.
The user credentials are cleared from cache when the user logs out of HP SIM.
Updated HP SIM requirements, see “Windows Console Requirements (page 9) and “Linux
CMS Requirements (page 12).
During installation, if the schema is not compatible with the existing one, the user is given the
option to continue with the schema changes or cancel the installation, see “Installing the Client
Components (page 15).
Updated the “Exporting Cluster Configuration (page 28) procedure.
During installation, if an older version of NonStop Cluster Essentials exists on the console, the
user is recommended to back up their cluster database before installing the new version of
NonStop Cluster Essentials, see “Installing NonStop Cluster Essentials on a Windows Console
(page 16) and “Installing NonStop Cluster Essentials on a Linux CMS” (page 18).
The minimum required version of HP SIM is 7.1 or later.
Updated the “Installing the Linux Server Component” (page 20) and “Uninstall the Linux Event
Agent” (page 35) instructions.
Added compatibility note for uninstalling NonStop Clusters Essentials 3.0.0, see “Uninstalling
NonStop Cluster Essentials” (page 35).
