Features
NonStop Cluster Essentials provides the following features:
• Availability – built-in fault tolerance to support multiple HP SIM Central Management Servers
(CMSs) and/or NonStop system consoles (NSCs).
• Scalability – scalable to support clusters containing hundreds of systems.
• Security – all communication between NonStop Cluster Essentials and managed systems is
secure (invoked via SSH) and all data encrypted.
Components
NonStop Cluster Essentials is comprised of both client and server components. The client component
is installed on either a Windows or Linux CMS on which HP SIM is already installed. The client
installer includes all of the components required to provide integrated cluster management from
that CMS. The server component, NonStop and Linux components are installed on all managed
NonStop and Linux systems to enable them to be managed by NonStop Cluster Essentials.
