Cause. The client file system detected the error and provided expected and actual
RSN values to be logged in an event.
Effect. The client file system typically recovers by ending the Direct Bulk I/O session
and reverting to a normal I/O.
Recovery. Infrequent occurrence of this event does not need a recovery action. If the
underlying cause persists, an error is likely to occur during normal I/O and can result in
a more detailed error event generated by an input/output process (IOP). Frequent
occurrence of this event without corresponding IOP-generated error events could
indicate an improperly written application that affects its data buffer during a nowaited
I/O operation using the same buffer and might suggest that Direct Bulk I/O must be
disabled using SCF until the application problem is resolved.
Token Description
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER Event number for this message. Value is ZDIO-EVT-
STRUCTURED-RSN (7).
ZEMS-TKN-LDEV.NUMBER Logical device number associated with the relevant IOP.
ZDIO-TKN-EXPECTED-RSN Value obtained from the client file system for the
expected RSN.
ZDIO-TKN-ACTUAL-RSN Contains the value obtained from the client file system for
the actual RSN.
ZDIO-TKN-INTERNAL-CALLER Internal caller token that identifies to development where
in the subsystem the event was initiated.
Token Description
ZEMS-TKN-XLDEV.NAME Primary subject token that specifies the logical device
name associated with the relevant I/O process.
